Course Descriptions:
Computers 101

This is the class for the true computer novice.  Elements of a computer workstation, including the keyboard, monitor, hard drive, floppy disk and mouse.  Student will be instructed on how to operate a mouse.  

Introduction to Word Processing*
Creating, opening, saving and closing a document. 

Introduction to Excel*
Making numbers make sense: an overview of spreadsheets, their construction, their use, and their data.  Lots of examples.

Introduction to PowerPoint*
Learn the basics on how to create, save and print dynamic PowerPoint presentations.

Introduction to the Internet*
Using the Internet Explorer browser.  Accessing information on the World Wide Web with a known site address/URL and a brief overview of a few search engines.

Web Based Email*
You will set up your own free web based email account.  You will also practice sending and receiving email. 

Genealogy Web Sites*
Climb aboard your family tree using the Internet.

Introduction to Photo Editing Using Adobe Photoshop Elements *
Learn the tricks on how to make your digital photos “perfect”.  EXCELLENT Mouse skills required.

 *Experience using a mouse is a prerequisite.
