Who may register for a Roxbury Library Card ?

Roxbury residents over 5 years of age

Business owners who own or rent property in Roxbury Public Library

Students not living in Morris County but attending schools in Roxbury

Non-profit and educational institutions
Pay cards for $100 a year are available to Morris County residents who reside in communities that are not part of the M.A.I.N. Consortium.
Non-Morris County residents who reside in communities that participate in Open Borrowing may register and use their home library cards within the M.A.I.N consortium.
What is needed to obtain a Roxbury library card?
At the time of registration, either a driver’s license or Morris County Identification card. Additional proof of current residency may be required.
Where can a library card be used?
The Roxbury library card may be used at all public libraries in Morris County and at the County College of Morris. Cardholders may also use the card at non-Morris County libraries that are participants in the Open Borrowing agreement.
Limits on materials borrowed
Total number of items borrowed – no limit with the following EXCEPTION: Adult and Teen entertainment DVDs. Limit of 6 per family
Loan periods
Most materials – 14 days. Two renewals if there are no holds on the materials. Books over 500 pages - 21 day loan period.
Adult and teen entertainment DVDs -1 week, non-renewable. Sets containing 4 or more discs -14 day loan period.
Renewals can be made online,(library card number and PIN # needed) in person (library card, driver’s license or item(s) needed), or by phone (library card # needed)
Overdue Fees
All materials, except for adult and teen entertainment DVDs--$.10/day
Adult and teen entertainment DVD's--$1.00 a day
Holds
Holds on materials throughout the Morris County M.A.I.N consortium may be placed by Roxbury card holders.
Pay and courtesy card holders can place holds on Roxbury and Morris County Library materials only.
