All are welcome to sign up to perform, or just come and listen. Hosted by the Roxbury Public Library and Skyland Songwriters Guild, Only performers need to register.

Calling all performers (and aspiring ones)!  Are you a talented singer, a witty poet, a skilled musician or a captivating storyteller?  Got what it takes to charm a crowd?  Sign up for our Open Mic session at Olde Suckasunny Day (9/7 from 1-2:30pm), where the stage is yours to share your creativity and passion with a live audience.  All participants welcome!  Songwriters appreciated.

Register if you are interested in performing.  When signing up, you agree to the following:

  • Performer(s) will have a TOTAL of 10 minutes to set up and perform -- tune BEFORE your set, be prepared to start right away, and limit conversation on stage to maximize your time.
  • The PA system will provide 3 vocal microphones and 3 instrument lines. Acoustic instruments only, except if you bring a keyboard (and stand).  Hand percussion only.  
  • All songs and music is to be performed live; no tracks (phones) allowed.
  • This is a family-friendly event.  No profanity and no derogatory or defamatory language will be tolerated.
  • Participants may only perform in one time slot.
  • Please be quiet and respectful of other performers while you wait and after your set.
  • Performances may be recorded and shared on social media.
  • All performers should arrive by 12:45pm (BYO lawnchair); you will be assigned an approximate time/order the week of the event.
  • Funding has been made possible in part by funds from Morris Arts through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts

The Roxbury Township Public Library is a municipal library serving the communities of Succasunna, Ledgewood, Landing, Berkshire Valley, Port Morris, and Kenvil. Residents of the township are eligible to a free library card which enables access to 2.8 million items across the Morris Library Alliance including digital books, museum passes and more.
