About the Presenter: Don Schuld graduated from Roxbury HS in 1958 and joined the Navy shortly after. He was a radar technician aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock CLG-4 and founder of the Ship's Association. He is currently the Vice Commander General of the "Naval Order of the United States". Following the Navy he entered the life insurance business and had his office on Rt. Ten in Ledgewood, retiring in 2016. He has been a member and Past President of the Roxbury Rotary Club for 45 years, being honored as a Paul Harris Fellow four times. In 1982 led the Rotary Club project to restore the Incline Plain in Ledgewood. And in 1993-4 he oversaw the construction of the Pavilion at Horseshoe Lake. In 1988 the Superior Court appointed him to the Roxbury Juvenile Conference Committee where he served for twenty years. And in 1995 he received the James Sprow Award for Distinguished Contributions of Time & Talent to Service Organizations. He is a reader of Naval History and a maker of miniature sleighs. More recently he was involved in the construction of the Gazebo at Horseshoe Lake. He lives in Roxbury with his wife Marlene and has two children, Lauren and Douglas.
